Waseem Munir

Waseem Munir is pursuing his Bachelors of Social Work at Ryerson University and is in his third year. He previously acquired a master’s equivalent in Islamic Law and Theology from the Academy of Sacred Knowledge situated in Chatham, Ontario.

His goal is to aid the Muslim community at large and advocate for social justice and the Muslim community’s well-being. In his spare time, Waseem enjoys playing sports, cooking, drawing calligraphy, gardening and more. His pursuits are grounded in his values of truthfulness, kindness, human rights, and giving back.

Waseem currently engages with the community through his local mosque and community centre addressing many social issues including ethics, poverty, inequality, justice, community support, and more. His actions are rooted in deep care and concern for the wellbeing of others and hope to be of benefit however he can.
