Who We Are
Scarborough Simbas is a recreation program powered by Muslim Children’s Aid and Support Services (MCASS). We aim to offer recreational and wellness opportunities for refugees, newcomers, underprivileged, and at-risk Muslim youth.
Purpose
To use sport and recreational activities as a tool to help empower vulnerable, and underprivileged Muslim youth in order to ease the settlement journey of newcomers and refugees to Canada.
Mission
To improve the social, physical, and emotional well-being of Muslim youth by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM
This film was inspired by Ali and his family and produced as a tribute to all refugee children and youth who have made their new home in Canada or have resettled on distant shores, and in loving memory of those whose precious lives have been lost in the war in Syria since 2011.
