Saarah Furmli

Saarah is a third-year social work student at Ryerson University. Saarah is a second-generation Afghan-Canadian, born and raised in Scarborough. Some of her dreams include working with youth experiencing mental illness and lobbying for anti-racism policy.

Saarah has volunteered with many agencies and initiatives in the GTA. These include the Kids Help Phone Text Line, the Islamic Foundation of Toronto, and Takbeer Food Bank. She also works with immigrants seeking to attain their visas at a Panel Exam Clinic located in Ajax.
