RESEARCH

Why We Do It
We regularly undertake research studies to learn more about our diverse Muslim communities. Research guides the development of our programs and services and ensures that they are evidence-based. It also builds our organizational knowledge and capacity to continually evolve and grow for the benefit of the children, youth, and families we serve.
Areas of Focus
To support our mission, our research focuses on the diverse Muslim communities. Our particular areas of emphasis are:
- Children and youth
- Muslim families
- Intersectional challenges and barriers (e.g., mental health and wellness)
- Topical issues (e.g., COVID)
- Child welfare
- Foster care
In 2020, MCASS completed two important studies:
- Foster Care & Islam – Stakeholders, Children & Faith
