York University MSW Student
Phebe Quaye is currently a Master’s of Social Work student at York University. Prior to that, she completed my BA in Sociology with minors in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies at the University of Toronto.
Phebe’s experience in the field has been predominantly working with survivors of intimate partner violence. Through this work, she became cognizant of the barriers and gaps to services faced by women, especially racialized women. It fuelled her passion to work with and advocate for racialized families.
The work being done at MCASS is crucial not only in helping families but also in filling the gaps within our system. Phebe is very grateful to be in a space that centers the needs of the community and she cannot wait to learn more.
