PROJECT ADVISORY GROUP
Hafsah is a dedicated and passionate individual in her fourth year of the Early Childhood Studies program. She has a deep passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families. After graduation, she aims to pursue a master’s in social work to combine experience in education and social services to continue to work and help develop comprehensive strategies that address the needs of Muslim and marginalized communities.
Hafsah had the opportunity to travel to Turkey to volunteer with a humanitarian development agency to work with Syrian orphans and refugees, implementing psychosocial programs to address the unique challenges faced by these populations. She has also contributed significantly to non-profit sectors, focusing on marginalized groups and bringing their expertise to empower those in need.
Hafsah hopes to contribute to the needs of the service delivery pilot project, prevent Muslim/newcomer children from entering the protection system, and establish culturally sensitive service navigation, and advocacy models.
