MCASS currently offers Employment programs for the community through our outstanding partner the YMCA.

YMCA Employment Services offers various free employment programs and services, below are some programs with their eligibility and subsidy breakdown:
YMCA Employment Services offers various free employment programs and services, below are some programs with their eligibility and subsidy breakdown:
YMCA employment programs are funded by Employment Ontario for:
- Youth Job Connection Summer (YJCS) (15-18 years)
- Youth Jobs Connections (YJC) (15-29years)
- Retail Trades Program (RTP) (15-29 years)
- Employment Services (ES) (18years+)
Employer Eligibility - for the incentive programs
- Employer Registration Form
- Provide a copy of Third Party Liability Insurance (showing bodily injury coverage amount)
- Provide a copy of WSIB
- Completion of On-site Checklist
Incentive Reimbursement for hires:
- Candidates must be registered with YMCA prior to starting on the job.
- Incentive reimbursement for each program:
- YJCS – 8 weeks x $13.40 x 10-15 hours = $1072.00 or $1608.00 (must complete 20 hours of pre-employment training with YMCA prior to starting on the job)
- YJC – 10 weeks x 14.25 x 40 hours = $5500.00 (must complete 60 hours of pre-employment training with YMCA prior to starting on the job)
- RTP – 12 weeks = $3000.000 (must complete 120 hours of pre-employment training with YMCA prior to starting on the job)
- ES – 6 weeks x $11.25 x 40 hours = $2700.00 (if candidate referred by the employer 4 weeks subsidy given) no pre-employment training for ES.
The employer must submit paystubs to YMCA in order to be reimbursed for the subsidy amount agreed to on the Training Incentive Contract Agreement signed by Employer, employee and YMCA.
