Partner Spotlight - Muslim Hands Canada

We are overjoyed to spotlight our partner Muslim Hands Canada who are providing nutritious lunches and refreshments for our Simbas soccer program this summer. Just what our children need after a morning having fun and learning out on the pitch.
About Muslim Hands Canada
When, in 1993, the Bosnian War brought devastation to eastern Europe, a community in Nottingham, England, was moved to take action. This small team of volunteers started by collecting money, clothes, and medicine for the struggling people of Bosnia.

Since then, Muslim Hands has grown into an international aid agency and NGO. They have responded to numerous emergencies worldwide and established myriad long-term projects like schools, health clinics, and livelihood programs.Muslim Hands is determined not just to provide immediate relief but to battle the root causes of poverty worldwide.  Muslim Hands
believe that everyone has the right to an education; access to food and clean water; and the means to support themselves, their family and their community. Inspired by the values of their faith, they are dedicated to fighting the root causes of poverty and creating a fairer world for all are inspired by the values of our faith.

Snow T.O., Toronto’s snow partner, is inviting all Toronto students between Grades 1-12 to enter their first-ever Paint the Plow contest: students across the city are encouraged to design and submit an original illustration of a snowy scene for a chance to see their masterpiece featured on an actual snowplow. Winners will also win $500 cash! All they need is a passion for winter and creativity.

  • Who: Toronto students in Grades 1-12
  • What: Design an original illustration of a snowy scene featuring a snowplow
  • Prize: Two winners (one from Grades 1-6 and 7-12) will each receive $500 cash and the honour of having their artwork showcased on a real snowplow
  • Deadline: January 26, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Winter days call for unleashing creativity, and this contest is the perfect outlet for young artists to make a splash. The submission process is super simple, too! Entries just need to be submitted by the child’s parent or guardian as a high-resolution JPEG, PDF, or PNG via email
